Ground-Zero Mosque Update

Things seem to be progressing swimmingly with plans to erect New York City’s Islamic community center and mosque where 3,000 innocent men, women, and children were murdered in the name of Islam.

City elders have wisely voted to allow the project to advance in the name of Diversity (so long as no Jews or Gays are involved) and results from the Ground-Zero community center and mosque international naming contest have come in. The winning entry, submitted by 15-year old Mustafa Al-Bihnarhd Abullah from Yemen, is “The Fukyu Usa Islamic Community Center and Mosque.” Congratulations Mustafa!

Construction vehicles are already on site (as pictured above) and officials hope to host the throat-cutting…that is ribbon-cutting ceremonies on the 10th anniversary of the big event: September 11, 2011.

What a proud moment in the history of Western Civilization is this!

Cheers,

Charlie

good one. I suppose this thing will be built as a kind of "in your face infidel" kind of thing.

Busting the multiculturalist myth of diversity bringing 'cultural enrichment'.

Islamists are already trying to restrict and destroy our culture - see additional links under 'Cultural Jihad'.

Maybe I'm a terrible person for saying this but maybe someone should fly a plane through it the moment it goes up.

I really like the photo of the truck. That says it all.

Well, to be fair no Synagogues should be built in that immediate area either. It was the THUGS from that Sh*tty little mid east country that borders the Med Sea that recently attacked an innocent Turkish Ship in international waters that was actually behind the 911 attack!

Kolya44 are you just being sarcastic or are you serious? If sarcasitic, I get it. If serious, you might be a loon.

The mosque is being put at Ground Zero as a monument to the 19 Islamists who martyred themselves on 9/11. Its opening on 9/11 is to celebrate the anniversary of this terrorist act, and we all know it. It is bizarre to watch the left insist these muslims have freedom of religion and the right according to the U.S. Constitution to build a mosque, but insist on destroying Christianity at every turn, including not allowing the Greek Orthodox Church destroyed in 9/11 to rebuild. Enough is enough.

I think you are missing the point. This is America. They can build the Mosque wherever the hell they want! Like it or not. If they were building a museum for the terrorists - I could see your point. The vast majority of Muslims are not terrorists.

If you are still concerned about this Mosque being built on hallowed ground perhaps you could visit the new food court/mall that will be located inside the new structure to quench your parched throat from all your nonsensical screaming!

Well not WHERE EVER the hell they want. There are prerequisites including support of the local community (and not just its insidious elected-officials), clarification on where funds for building this foodcourt/mall/McMosque are originating, and just who/what exactly is Feisal Abdul Rauf anyway?

Regardless, the most accurate analysis is likely this (see link): the entire frakas is a publicity stunt for desperate developers. http://www.frumforum.com/is-the-911-mosque-a-publicity-stunt .

I can guarantee you that less than 2% of those protesting live or work in the neighborhood of the proposed mosque.

As far a the article referenced. Is that something new? Have you been to Manhattan, Vegas, Salt Lake City?

I'm with Bloomberg on this one.

And did you not see the Confederate Flag on the back of that truck in your photograph. I find that offensive but he has every right to display it...

Very well then. We have some questions for the two percent you can GUAR-UN-TEE live or work in the area:

Are you aware of who Feisal Abdul Rauf really is? http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/individualProfile.asp?indid=2462

Do not the opinions of the families of those killed in the attacks, many of whom were Muslim themselves, deserve special consideration in this debate?

Why the opposition to RE-buidling the Greek Orthodox Church destroyed in the 9/11 attacks? http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2010/08/17/ground-zero-church-archdiocese-says-officials-forgot/

Would they support the "right to build" if this wee say, a Wal-Mart going up or an Evangelical Christian Center?

It's all quite curious.

There are plenty such centers all over Manhattan. {Walmarts. Church of Scientology, Strip Clubs, etc...) If they want to build... agree or not.. They have the right too. So I think we agree on this?

Spellcheck my text and get back to me :)

Why, wait a moment...this just in... it appears the majority of New Yorkers DO NOT want a mosque right next to the site where 3,000 innocent human beings were slaughtered in the name of Islam. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20015351-503544.html
