The Useful Idiot Hall of Fame

Our kudos to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Republican Congressmen Frank Wolf, Joe Pitts, and Robert Aderholt for entering themselves into the ever expanding Useful Idiot Hall of Fame!

Here they are joined by John Kerry , Jane Fonda and other giants of intellect and human compassion who have taken it upon themselves to show the world how fun loving and cuddly we truly are, even if doing so means the utter debasement of everything Western Civilization has strived to secure for mankind over the past two plus centuries (i.e. human rights, rule of law, free enterprise etc. etc.) Well done and thank you for your support.

Cheers,

Charlie

This was a nonpartisan excursion. Three more Republicans made this trip earlier in the week because of schedule conflicts and barely even made a blip on the radar. In fact senators and congressman on both sides of the aisle have been making these trips for years. Wasn't this all Jim Baker's idea in the first place?

My Dear Anonymous,

As I'm sure you are aware, the United States Constitution implicitly gives the President of said United States (note NOT the Speaker of the House) the authority to conduct foreign policy.

In order, to make that responsibility explicit, in 1798, President John Adams initiated the Logan Act, which forbids any American -- "without authority of the United States" -- to communicate with a foreign government with the intent of influencing that government's actions in any "disputes or controversies with the United States."

The United States broke off diplomatic relations with Syria in 2005. Thus, no communication with that country's government could possibly occur "with the authority of the United States."

Without question, Speaker Pelosi and her entourage are in violation of the Logan Act - a felony punishable by up to three years in prison.

Will anything happen? Of course not. In this day and age there is no such thing as sedition, treason, or acting in a manner completely counter-productive to the safety and security of the United States and her Allies. Just ask the New York Times. No ours is a world full of happy shining people who wish nothing more than to be our friends, if only we would let them.

Also for your clarification - James Baker - also NOT the President of the United States.

Cheers,

Charlie

Ah quoting the constitution circa 1798. Yes a wonderful document that we can agree on. But thank God for progressive thinking! Or maybe you would like ammendment 13 to cease and desist! In this day and age the old ways are exactly that - old. It's a new world parrot. And diplomacy will save the day! Just you watch and see.

Since me being anonymous bothers you so much. Why don't you reveal your real identity instead of hiding behind that silly mandible of yours.
