Nothing to Worry about Here!

Now that the Lefties have made the world safe from the menace that was Lewis “Scooter” Libby, we can all rest easy. Nothing else much to worry about really - aside, of course, from the impending greenhouse gas-induced global asphyxiation.

No, nothing to worry about here, nor here, nor here, nor here. Especially now that highly classified, super-secret, covert intelligence operatives (who are NOT named Valerie Plame) will be able to show up for work each morning at the clandestine and well-concealed CIA HEADQUARTERS IN LANGLEY, VIRGINIA and conduct their highly-classified espionage in complete and utter secrecy in support of our efforts to win the War on The Bush Administration.

Cheers,

Charlie

Lefty eh? or just an overzealous ego-driven prosecutor?

Fitzgerald was born into a working-class Irish American-Catholic family in Brooklyn and grew up in the Flatbush neighborhood. His father (also named Patrick Fitzgerald) worked as a doorman in Manhattan. Fitzgerald attended Our Lady Help of Christians grammar school, Regis High School, a prestigious Jesuit Catholic school in Manhattan, and received degrees in economics and mathematics from Amherst College before receiving his JD from Harvard Law School in 1985.[3]
After practicing civil law, Fitzgerald became an Assistant United States Attorney in New York City in 1988. He handled drug-trafficking cases and in 1993 assisted in the prosecution of Mafia figure John Gotti, the boss of the Gambino crime family.[4] In 1994, Fitzgerald became the prosecutor in the case against Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and 11 others charged in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.[5]
In 1996, Fitzgerald became the National Security Coordinator for the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York. There, he served on a team of prosecutors investigating Osama bin Laden.[6] He also served as chief counsel in prosecutions related to the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania.
On September 1, 2001, Fitzgerald was nominated for the position of U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois on the recommendation of U.S. Senator Peter Fitzgerald (no relation), a Republican from Illinois. On October 24, 2001, the nomination was confirmed by the Senate.

My Dear Dr. Amomymous(sic),

Thank you for the generous dossier on Barrister Fitzgerald. It's reassuring to know that he is merely a rabid opportunist and not at all a Lefty.

One continues to ponder, however, why such a powerful and high-profile barrister as he would devote so much of his powerful and high-profile time toward convicting a man who may or may not be guilty of a crime that at most will warrant a sentence of two years.

Must be Barrister Fitzgerald's unquenchable thirst for justice. Splendid. No doubt then Barrister Fitzgerald will turn his unquenchable thirst for justice toward Sandy "Hot Pants" Berger, William "Cold Cash" Jefferson, John "Abscam" Murtha, Hillary "You Name It" Clinton... shall I go on?

Patrick Fitzgerald is not a Lefty like Sadaam Hussein was not a terrorist. Hmmmm. Now there's something to ponder.

Cheers,

Charlie

Fitzgerald is not an independent counsel but a special prosecutor, appointed in 2003 by then-Deputy Attorney General James Comey because Attorney General John Ashcroft had recused himself. If I recall James Comey was nominated by Bush himself.

Your point being...?

The point being that it wasn't the lefties who did this to Scooter. Wasn't that your original clam in the post?

"Now that the Lefties have made the world safe from the menace that was Lewis “Scooter” Libby, we can all rest easy."

Or do you just randomly make grand statements with out checking your facts. Oh wait I forgot! You're a parrot!

And wasn't it Bob Novak who started this whole mess in the first place!

My goodness, for someone who does not wish to be labeled a Lefty we are most vigorous in their defense aren't we?

Do you assume that merely being appointed by a Republican makes one NOT a Lefty? I give you David Souter.

"By their tactics you shall know them." Not sure who said that. I believe I did. Brilliant.

And as for who started this, it was The Right Honorable Ambassador Joseph Wilson with his OpEd rant. Certainly a prudent course of action to take when one's wife - a super secret covert CIA operative whose life would be in gravest danger should anyone gain the slightest inkling as to her actual identity - sends one on an ultra-sensitive mission of national security to overturn in EIGHT WHOLE DAYS what months of British Intelligence confirmed (and still maintain)were Iraqi overtures to purchase yellow cake uranium.

Charlie

It is not I who label, but you. Regardless, your site is very clever. I found it quite by accident. I have a parrot fetish and lo and behold I found you. Keep up the good work! I'm on my way to Birdyville as we speak. I heard they just got a new cockatoo that speaks french. Delicious.

Yes I do label. It makes it much easier to avoid eating cocktail onions thinking they were oyster crackers.

Pleasure sparring with you Dr. A. Always up for a good bit of intellectual intercourse, if nothing else.

Glad you enjoy the site. Not bad for a (EXPLETIVE) parrot if I do say so myself.

And about that parrot fetish etc. well let's just you keep that to yourself then, eh? Jolly Good.

Cheers,

Charlie
