It's all about the oil. Georgia has oil and the new pipeline going through it. Russia wants control of both. Thus they attack.
Plus Putin still thinks his nation is a superpower. It's a 2nd rate nation with nukes, nothing more.
Yes the Old Bear couldn't keep that smiley-face mask on too long could it? Back to business as usual we're afraid. Such a surprise.
