GOOSING WHAT REMAINS OF THE AMERICAN CHARACTER! ***
"We must never cease to proclaim in fearless tones the great principles of freedom and the rights of man which are the joint inheritance of the English-speaking world and which through Magna Carta, the Bill of Rights, the Habeas Corpus, trial by jury, and the English common law find their most famous expression in the American Declaration of Independence." - Sir Winston Churchill, 1946

The Face of Socialized Health Care
British dentistry gets even worse, as if such a thing were possible. Smile America. All the wonders of socialized health care may soon be yours!
Cheers,

You want to try looking in an ordinary American's mouth some time. Much worse than their average British counterpart. The difference is, and has always been, what gets shown on TV - in the US, only actors with perfect are allowed, indeed pretty much anyone who isn't beautiful is excluded, whereas in the UK ugly actors have traditionally been widely tolerated, even encouraged.
Socialized health care does not cover dentistry in Canada unless you are on welfare or assistance of some sort. People like to acquire work with companies that provide such luxuries - even then, their insurance will only cover so much. Let's face it, dentists are nothing but thieves and charge outrageous amounts; they are right down there with lawyers.

At least you have some dental insurance, here in the US we have to foot the cost ourselves.
