The Bishops of Simpleton

After years of unabashed advocacy of the DNC agenda, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops are now scrambling to prevent the Democrat Congress and the Obama Administration from making the most radical pro-abortion legislation in history the law of the land.

Already stunned by Mr. Obama’s unblinking revocation of the Mexico City Policy which prevented U.S. tax payers funding the murder of the unborn in developing nations, the good Bishop’s are now a bit panicked that he and Congress now seek to enforce same domestically via the so-called Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA).

In short, this delectable piece of Leftism will:
*Make abortion an entitlement, requiring American taxpayers to pay for abortions.
*Require states to allow “partial-birth” and other late-term abortions.
*Require states to allow abortions by non-physicians.
*Bar laws protecting the right of health care providers conscientious objection to performing abortion.
*Deny parents the opportunity to be involved in their minor daughter’s abortion decision
*Invalidate laws to protect women from unsafe abortion clinics
*Invalidate laws ensuring women are informed what abortion procedures actually entail.

In other words, this legislation does nearly as much to murder fundamental American liberty as it does the unborn.

The good Bishops, and the 54% of Catholics they sheparded toward voting Democrat, are now aghast that the leaders they elected into office have the audacity to assert the authority they have been given.

A vigorous POST CARD CAMPAIGN –always an effective tactic for bringing about sweeping change – has been launched in retaliation. Janitorial staff on The Hill have been alerted to expect a significant up tick in the need for recycling bin emptying in the coming weeks.

Some might find it incongruous that American Catholic leadership – so long of the conviction that health care is a “right” to be guaranteed to all by government – might now take exception to that government’s doing what governments do, particularly when in the hands of Lefties. Its enough to make one think American Catholic leadership is uninformed, historically vacuous, and embarrassingly gullible. But that can’t be the case. After all they have provided heroic leadership on such vital issues as climate change, open borders immigration, and funding ACORN …. Oops… we mean “community development.”

Despite our acidic cheek, we support the good Bishops in this particular aspect of their otherwise destitute political agenda. For this, in truth, is a matter of Life, Liberty, and death.

Cheers,

Charlie

Standing Guard on a Cowardly World

“Today is 2,682 days since 9/11, 2001. … I want to thank George Bush for keeping this country safe in the interim seven years. That is an amazing achievement.

…He's willing to be hated for the rest of his life to do the right thing. And I just want to look in the camera. This is the last time I’ll be on this show when he's my President and my Commander-in-Chief and say, ‘Thank you, sir. I feel privileged that you were the President during this time in American history.’”

- Dennis Miller on the O’Reilly Factor, 1/15/09

Our Dear Mr. President,

Your watch is over good sir. Rest well. You have served with honor, courage, and dignity. An ungrateful world is better for your service. We shall miss you; too much we fear.

Kipling proves spot on more and more these days. This is another such occassion.

If

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or, being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run - Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

-Rudyard Kipling

Thank you, President George Walker Bush.

Keep the Entitlement Monster ALIVE!

“Only government can provide the short-term boost necessary to lift us from a recession this deep and severe. Only government can break the vicious cycles that are crippling our economy.”
- President-Elect Barack Obama

The President(s) of the United States are working tirelessly to extend more cash to the needy – be they profligate families, incompetent businesses, self-serving non-profits, tax-payer buoyed propaganda outlets, or corporate welfare queens.

We MUST keep the Entitlement Monster Alive!

Do your part. Support government stimulus of the economy, support unbridled unionism, support the expansion of the social safety net, support nationalized health care, and demand your rights as a dependent of the United States government.

Only thus can government of the people, by the people, over the people be restored.

Cheers,

You Can’t Have Your Chaos and Eat it Too

As the son of a multi-millionaire giddily dabbles in drugs, crime, and wanton sex trusting no harm will actually come to him owing to his father’s vast influence and power, so Westerners have -with increasing recklessness - romanticized and flirted with Chaos over the past forty years.

Indeed centuries of Relativist doctrine – metastasizing in our churches, universities, and recording studios – have so thoroughly befuddled modern man that most are utterly unaware of the eternal battle between Order and Chaos (other than as a video game), its significance, and the proper role of free men therein.

As some one once said (can’t recall the name anymore?): “Whatever the duration of this struggle, and whatever the difficulties, we will not permit the triumph of violence in the affairs of men -- free people will set the course of history.”

“Whatever,” retorted the masses, and they resumed their Super Bowl parties.

We root for rocket-lobbing goons while feigning indignance at Israel’s “disproportionate response.”

The progeny of pioneerss elbow their way to the front of the line for their “fair share” of other men’s money.

The enlightened scoff at the threat of terrorism while casting themselves heroes in their climate crisis fantasy.

The heirs of Magna Carta increasingly allow their law to be debauched in the name of “tolerance.”

The keepers of the last best hope of mankind select a dashing neophyte as their leader because they are bored and want everyone to like them.

Well in case anyone hasn’t noticed, Chaos has leapt out of our televisions and into our homes. The safe-distance we believed existing between it and us exists no more. We are now in Chaos; economically, politically, and – the catalyst of it all – spiritually.

Long ago Christianity slashed its wrists on the blade of “modernism” . Since then it has slowly bled out, becoming more weak, ineffectual, and irrelevant with each passing day. The decreasing vitality of the Church has invited the increasing vitality of the minions of Chaos - secularism in the West, Islam in the East. And we, charged by History with maintaining the Order, find ourselves morally disarmed, clueless, and utterly at their mercy.

The façade of order remains. The inertia of our forefathers’ exertions sustains us yet. But we, like spoiled children, have squandered, bitched, demanded, cheated, stolen, avoided, and whined for so long, and enculturated the lot, that we have fairly well undone everything that was done before us by better men.

We have played with Chaos too long. You cannot have your Chaos and eat it too. For eventually, Chaos eats you.

History is up for grabs. Whom shall set its course?

Cheers,

Charlie

Sir Winston Churchill versus the OIC

“Here was the new Koran of faith and war: turgid, verbose, shapeless, but pregnant with its message. The main thesis of Mein Kampf is simple.”
- Sir Winston Churchill from his masterpiece The Gathering Storm summarizing Hitler’s Mein Kampf

A superb and fascinating act of exegesis has been committed by our dear friends at Weapons of Musical Defense (WMD).

First a bit of background.

Last Thursday, the Organization of the Islamic Conference’s (OIC) further greased the road to Durban II by getting their “defamation” of religion resolution - stating that “Islam is frequently and wrongly associated with human rights violations and terrorism”-passed the U.N. General Assembly.

Shocking we know. One suspects Hitler himself could have gotten Mein Kampf passed the U.N. General Assembly had it existed at the time.

Precisely the point of WMD’s analysis! They provide an illuminating extract from Sir Winston’s The Gathering Storm wherein Sir Winston, who had been warning of the “madness of the Mahommedan religion” since the late 1800’s, declares Hitler’s Mein Kampf “the new Koran of faith and war.” He then supports his assertion point by point.

Anything sound familiar here? Yet the tragic charade continues.

As WMD’s THE LAW asks,

“Winston Churchill called Islam ‘the religion of blood and war.’ The most representative body of Islam in its 1400 year history, the 57 Islamic nations of the OIC (Organization of The Islamic Conference), says ‘Islam, the religion of peace, tolerance and compassion.’ Who would you believe?”

Charlie

Celebrating THE NEW Bill of Rights Day

Each year on 15 December, millions of American’s celebrate Bill of Rights Day. Well… all right. But seriously, 12/15 is Bill of Rights Day; first declared in 1941 by FDR to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights.

Originally the Framers adopted the Bill of Rights “in order to prevent misconstruction or abuse of its (the Constitution’s) powers, that further declaratory and restrictive clauses should be added: And as extending the ground of public confidence in the Government, will best ensure the beneficent ends of its institution.”

In other words, the Framers sought to further define the LIMITS of American governmental power so that free men might employ their individual creativity, industry, and sense of good will in pursuit of “beneficent ends” as they saw fit. This would, in the light of current political fashion, make them craven right-wing greed-crazed nut-monkeys.

Regardless, none of that matters now, for it is a new day. The free market is dead. The government of the United States is finally waking to the full realization of its awesome responsibility in the care and well-being of its people. No more of the oppression, racism, injustice, and brutality that have characterized America’s tragic story heretofore. Hope and change will end it all by ensuring the true “rights” and “beneficent ends” deserved of all Americans – nay, the entire global village!

Hence, in celebration of Bill of Rights Day 2008, we present to you: the United States of America’s NEW Bill of Rights.

Amendment I
No person shall be denied health care of any kind, any where, any time, for any reason, regardless of actual need, citizenship, or ability/willingness/intention to pay.

Amendment II
No person shall be denied a home mortgage of any kind, any where, any time, for any reason, regardless of actual need, citizenship, or ability/willingness/intention to pay.

Amendment III
No person shall be denied a personal computer and high-speed broadband Internet access regardless of actual need, citizenship, or ability/willingness/intention to pay.

Amendment IV
No business venture shall be forced to endure the humiliation of bankruptcy or foreclosure even in instances of bald-faced incompetence or immorality.

Amendment V
No person/organization/nation shall be forced to honor debts of any kind, be they incurred honorably or dishonorably, or with the slightest ability/intention of ever actually being paid.

Amendment VI
No person shall be subjected to the humiliation of earning less than a suitable “living wage” the definition of which to be determined entirely at the whim of the wage earner and his/her respective activist support network.

Amendment VII
No member of government at any level shall be held accountable for any act, ever, no matter how utterly unscrupulous or deleterious to the welfare of the United States of America, unless they be Republican.

Amendment VIII
No person at any level of income, up to and including no income whatsoever, shall be denied the means of a comfortable retirement in keeping with the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed, or to which they aspire.

Amendment IX
No person shall be denied the standard of living they feel they deserve, regardless of their willingness to undertake the activities traditionally associated with achieving it.

Amendment X
No person shall be denied Freedom from Want, a right more sacred even than those of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

With these strictures firmly enshrined in the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution, the nation it governs will at last fulfill its promise as the all-expense-paid Carnival cruise it was intended to be. And, when the economy collapses, Americans - purged of all delusions about individualism, liberty, and personal responsibility - will be thoroughly primed for servitude at the hands of their new international feudal lords.

A Fascinating Experiment: Music in Defense of Freedom?

For more than forty years, pop-culture has been used to implicitly and explicitly undermine the wit, wisdom, and wills of Western kiddie winkies via every imaginable mode of mass media. The effects are plain to see and– we suspect – the worst is yet to come. But in this era of “hope” we offer some.

A group of modern musicians and producers are committing a bit of reverse terrorism: taking one of the West’s mosts efficatious modes of self-destruction – pop-music - and aiming it at that which seeks most passionately to facilitate our destrucution from the outside: Militant Islam.

They are Weapons of Musical Defense and their first album, Imagine Jihad (Part 1) is now available for your listening and purchasing pleasure. We encourage you to give it a go.

More than just brilliant performance and production, WMD’s songs are lit up from the inside with substanative content, research, sources, and historical perspective; things you may find lacking in Kanye West’s or Miss Spears’ latest contributions. (But after all, girls - and everyone else evidently - just want to have fun!)

“Weapon of Musical Defense is a group of concerned rockers and rock stars,” their website explains. “After 9-11 we were horrified at the hate and exhortations to violence we read in the Koran so we began learning more about what Winston Churchill called ‘the religion of blood and war.’ We started writing songs and studied to be certain of the facts, all the time becoming more alarmed. Now we want to share our findings with a wider audience. Imagine Jihad is the first album to result from our work.”

All this, and quotes from Sir Winston to boot! We are agog.

As the West dutifully disarms, and Islam gleefully attacks, perhaps efforts such as this can inspire and inform a new generation that their’s is a heritage worth fighting for.

Cheers,

Charlie
